About the Role

The Senior Work Health and Safety Advisor will be responsible for contributing to the effective development, management, delivery of a professional workplace safety and wellbeing service and workplace rehabilitation and return to work services throughout the Queensland Government.

This role will assist in developing, coordinating, and delivering professional work health and safety risk management requirements and wellbeing services across the Queensland Government to achieve consistent and relevant health and safety practices and performance outcomes.

The role will also assist in the implementation, review, and reporting on work safety and wellbeing responses and strategies, policies, guidelines, procedures, and networks consistent with Departmental and Health Service policy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and managing work health and safety risk management requirements and wellbeing services
  • Coordinating and delivering professional work health and safety training and education programs
  • Assisting in the implementation, review, and reporting on work safety and wellbeing responses and strategies
About Our Team

The Work Health and Safety Unit provides work health and safety advisory, support, investigation, audit, and assessment services to Queensland Government departments and facilities.

The team is within the People Portfolio supporting safety and wellbeing initiatives.
