About the Role

Our organization is seeking a skilled Hydraulic Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and testing of hydraulic systems, including valve banks, cylinders, and related components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, install, and maintain hydraulic systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely
  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on hydraulic valve banks, cylinders, pumps, and other components
  • Disassemble, clean, inspect, and rebuild components to OEM specifications
  • Conduct pressure and flow testing to ensure system performance
  • Interpret hydraulic schematics, technical drawings, and manuals
  • Maintain accurate service, maintenance, and test records
  • Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to troubleshoot complex faults
  • Identify and recommend improvements or upgrades to hydraulic systems
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
  • Adhere to all safety and quality procedures

Skill Requirements:

  • Trade qualification: Fitter, Fitter & Turner, or Hydraulic Fitter
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in hydraulic systems maintenance, particularly valve banks and cylinders
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic components, including proportional and servo valves
  • Competence in reading hydraulic schematics and technical documentation
  • Familiarity with pressure testing procedures and equipment
  • Excellent mechanical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong safety awareness and commitment to WHS standards
  • Basic computer skills for job logging and reporting
  • Driver's Licence
