Plant Maintenance Specialist

The role involves providing exceptional plant maintenance services, with a strong focus on preventative care and effective troubleshooting. As a skilled mechanical fitter, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal operation of conveyor belt systems through regular checks and scheduled maintenance.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment downtime.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules to ensure seamless operation.
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and perform repairs as needed.

Requirements and Qualifications

Key Requirements:

  • A valid trade certificate in mechanical fitting.
  • At least three years of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Valid driver's license and own transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year of experience as a plant fitter.
  • Knowledge of conveyor belt systems and their maintenance requirements.
  • Ability to commute or relocate to Newcastle, NSW.
