Cold Storage Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Cold Storage Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing cold storage operations, ensuring the safe and efficient storage and retrieval of products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Picking products in chiller and freezer environments with attention to detail and safety protocols
  • Manual handling of products, adhering to company standards and WHS procedures
  • Stacking products in cold stores to optimize space and efficiency
  • Ensuring a sound knowledge of WHS & GMP procedures, maintaining a clean and organized work environment
  • Ability to work in cold room environments ranging from 3 degrees Celsius, with flexibility to adapt to changing conditions
  • Picking fresh food stock from production lines, meeting customer requirements and deadlines
  • Accurately packing stock, minimizing waste and maximizing productivity
  • Leading and managing a team, promoting a positive and inclusive work culture

Essential Requirements:

  • A hands-on approach with a strong commitment to job duties and responsibilities
  • Succesful completion of relevant AQF Diploma or equivalent qualification, demonstrating theoretical knowledge and practical skills
  • Proven post-qualification experience, with the ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities
  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team, contributing to a positive and productive work environment
  • Autonomy to work independently without close supervision, with the ability to make sound decisions and take initiative

Requirements:

  • A degree in a related field, such as logistics, supply chain management, or a related industry discipline, or extensive industry experience demonstrating expertise and knowledge
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to quality and excellence
