Senior Data Analyst Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our team. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in driving data excellence across the business.

The ideal candidate will have solid experience in end-to-end data migration, including data extraction from source systems, transformation, and successful delivery to target environments.

Demonstrated ability to work on medium to large scale projects, with a strong understanding of project lifecycles and stakeholder engagement.

Proven track record in analytical roles, including data analysis, credit analysis, and business analysis.

Responsibilities:
  • Conducting gap analyses and providing actionable recommendations to enhance operational and data workflows.
  • Analyzing the business portfolio with a data-first mindset to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
  • Designing and developing robust, end-to-end ETL processes for large datasets, ensuring seamless integration with Power BI and other business applications.
  • Creating intuitive, user-friendly Power BI dashboards that deliver meaningful insights and position you as a trusted advisor to stakeholders.
  • Offering technical expertise to the technology team, particularly around data workflows and integration.
  • Managing business requirements throughout the delivery lifecycle to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Advanced proficiency in SAS and SQL for data manipulation, analysis and reporting.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, functions and data visualization.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile project delivery methodologies and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Familiarity with Westpac Group Data Warehouses is highly desirable.
  • Relevant experience in Banking and Financial Services industry is essential.
