Pediatric Eye Care Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Eye Care Specialist to join our Paediatric Surgery – Ophthalmology team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality ophthalmic care to children, investigating and managing paediatric ophthalmology and ocular motility conditions, and contributing to the effective operation of outpatient clinics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional patient care and outcomes in paediatric ophthalmology and ocular motility.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to children with eye-related conditions.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Analyse and interpret clinical data to inform treatment decisions.
Requirements:
- A relevant degree or Master's Degree qualification in Orthoptics, registered with the Australian Orthoptic Board (AOB).
- 2 years of post-qualification experience in paediatric ophthalmology.
- Strong knowledge of paediatric orthoptics, strabismus, amblyopia, ocular motility, refractive error, and assessment of children with visual impairments.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
