Job Opportunity:

The National Film and Sound Archive is seeking a skilled and experienced Audio Visual Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality public programming and venue hire events in our state-of-the-art archival cinema.

About the Role:

  • Deliver expert technical support for on-site public programs and experiences at Acton.
  • Collaborate with teams across the organization to deliver internal corporate activities, conferences, and events.
  • Provide technical support to Learning programs.
  • Maintain and operate digital and analogue equipment in the Arc Cinema and other venues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and test audio-visual equipment for events.
  • Operate projection and exhibition equipment during events.
  • Collaborate with event staff to ensure smooth execution of events.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in cinema projection and exhibition.
  • Strong knowledge of both analogue and digital formats.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
