
Regional Crisis Management Specialist

As a Regional Crisis Management Specialist, you will play a critical role in shaping the landscape across NSW. This is an opportunity to embed yourself in projects of different sizes and become part of a team that designs and delivers efficient, customer-focused services.
This role involves working with the Customer Protection and Network Resilience team to plan and prepare for emergencies across various hazards (including bushfire). Your key responsibility will be developing clear, practical operational and location-specific plans that enable swift and safe action.
You will lead planning and preparedness activities, including exercises, to ensure the division is ready for any emergency. In addition, you will provide timely advice to support operational response when incidents occur.
Required Skills and Qualifications- An understanding of emergency management arrangements in NSW, including local, regional, and state layers.
- A strong knowledge of BFMCs and how Transport contributes to this framework.
- An understanding of the road and transport network across regional NSW and how incidents impact customers and services.
