Develop Advanced Robotics for Elderly Care

To drive meaningful innovation in social robotics, we seek a highly motivated researcher to investigate novel algorithms generating non-verbal behaviors of robots interacting with older adults.

The goal is to enhance user engagement and perceived empathy, warmth, and friendliness. To achieve this, you will collaborate with industry partners on projects involving lab and care centre settings.

You will be co-supervised by experienced academics with expertise in the field. As a successful candidate, you should have an undergraduate honours degree or Master's by research degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, or a related field.

A strong programming background, preferably with prior knowledge of robotics and machine learning, is essential. Additionally, excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently are required.
