Job Title: Audiologist

Central Australian Aboriginal Congress is seeking a skilled Audiologist to join our team in providing culturally-responsive audiology services to Aboriginal children and young people.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work in a targeted way to meet the hearing-health needs of clients, with a particular emphasis on integrated care, early intervention, and rehabilitation, through community engagement, diagnostic assessment, and management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality and safe audiology services to Aboriginal children and young people referred to the Child and Youth Assessment & Therapeutic Service (CYATS)
  • Work in a targeted way to meet the hearing-health needs of clients, with a particular emphasis on integrated care, early intervention, and rehabilitation
  • Develop and implement culturally-responsive audiology services that meet the needs of Aboriginal children and young people
  • Collaborate with other health professionals to provide comprehensive care to clients
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of audiology services that meet the needs of Aboriginal children and young people
Requirements
  • Recognised as a qualified practitioner with either full membership with Audiology Australia Limited and a Certificate of Clinical Practice (CCP), and/or Ordinary membership with the Australian College of Audiology (ACAud) with competency in paediatric audiology
  • Broad clinical experience in primary health care, including skills in planning, coordinating, and decision-making within a clinical audiology setting
  • Knowledge of MBS schedule and ability to claim Medicare
  • Current Drivers Licence
