Job Summary:

The Central Australian Aboriginal Congress is seeking a highly skilled Audiologist to join our team. As an Audiologist, you will provide culturally-responsive, high-quality audiology services for Aboriginal children and young people referred to our Child and Youth Assessment & Therapeutic Service (CYATS) with suspected neurodevelopmental delays or disorders requiring diagnosis and/or therapy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide integrated care, early intervention, and rehabilitation through community engagement, diagnostic assessment, and management.
  • Work in a targeted way to meet the hearing-health needs of clients, with a particular emphasis on culturally-responsive practice.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments and provide therapy to clients with suspected neurodevelopmental delays or disorders.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, families, and community members to ensure effective communication and care.

Requirements:

  • Recognized as a qualified practitioner with either full membership with Audiology Australia Limited and a Certificate of Clinical Practice (CCP), and/or Ordinary membership with the Australian College of Audiology (ACAud) with competency in paediatric audiology.
  • Broad clinical experience in primary health care, including skills in planning, coordinating, and decision-making within a clinical audiology setting.
  • Knowledge of MBS schedule and ability to claim Medicare.
  • Current Driver's License.
