Security Professional - Defence Operations

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Professional to play a critical role in protecting Defence personnel, assets, and infrastructure. This position requires a high level of professionalism, discretion, and situational awareness.

About the Role

This security professional will be responsible for maintaining a strong on-site presence through proactive patrols, access management, and stakeholder liaison. They will also respond promptly and appropriately to alarms, emergencies, or suspicious behaviour.

Key Responsibilities
  • Access Control: Monitor entry and exit points to ensure only authorised personnel are permitted on site.
  • Foot Patrols: Conduct regular patrols to maintain situational awareness and deter potential threats.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Build rapport with Defence personnel, contractors, and visitors while delivering a strong security presence.
  • Incident Response: React promptly and appropriately to alarms, emergencies, or suspicious behaviour.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Ensure site protocols and Defence security procedures are always followed.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Accurately record incidents, shift activities, and observations in accordance with site requirements.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Australian Citizenship for Defence security clearance eligibility.
  • A current Security Licence valid in QLD.
  • Baseline Defence Clearance or must be willing to obtain a Baseline Clearance.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact confidently with Defence personnel and site stakeholders.
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions.
  • A strong sense of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
