Job Description:

We are seeking a Full Time Defence Security Specialist to join our team at a secured base in Singleton. This is a critical role that plays a key part in protecting Defence personnel, assets and infrastructure.

About the Role:

As a Full Time Defence Security Specialist, you will be responsible for proactive patrols, access management and maintaining a strong on-site presence. You will operate in a complex and sensitive environment where professionalism, discretion and situational awareness are essential.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Access Control - Monitor entry and exit points to ensure only authorised personnel are permitted on site.
  • Foot Patrols - Conduct regular patrols to maintain situational awareness and deter potential threats.
  • Stakeholder Liaison - Build rapport with Defence personnel, contractors and visitors while delivering a strong security presence.
  • Incident Response - React promptly and appropriately to alarms, emergencies or suspicious behaviour.
  • Compliance Monitoring - Ensure site protocols and Defence security procedures are always followed.
  • Reporting & Documentation - Accurately record incidents, shift activities and observations in accordance with site requirements.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Australian Citizenship - required for Defence security clearance eligibility
  • A current Security Licence valid in QLD
  • Baseline Defence Clearance or must be willing to obtain a Baseline Clearance
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact confidently with Defence personnel and site stakeholders
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions
  • A strong sense of integrity, accountability and attention to detail
