Your Responsibilities

As a pivotal member of Tabcorp's integrity initiative, the Risk & Compliance Team is focused on minimizing business risks and ensuring adherence to regulations. We are currently offering an exciting opportunity for a Trading Surveillance Analyst. In this essential position, you will oversee our wagering operations to identify and report any malpractice, market manipulation, or price distortion.

Your specific duties will include:

  • Conducting near real-time monitoring of trading activities, systems, and reports, escalating any suspicious behaviors or trading irregularities;
  • Generating daily, weekly, and monthly trading data reports from various systems to pinpoint and recognize suspicious activities;
  • Assisting in risk identification and mitigation by implementing control enhancements in accordance with relevant policies, regulations, and agreements;
  • Supporting process documentation and remaining informed about regulatory updates to aid in the education of trading personnel;
  • Keeping abreast of industry trends and advancements in surveillance technology, suggesting improvements to enhance compliance and trading execution.

As a Trading Surveillance Analyst, you will play a crucial role in maintaining public and industry trust in Tabcorp by fostering a fair and orderly market for consumers.

Your Qualifications

To excel in this position, you should ideally possess a strong background in data reporting, statistics, and analytical business processes or a similar role within a highly regulated corporate environment. Experience in wagering trading is advantageous but not mandatory.

Additionally, you should have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent work experience in compliance, mathematics, statistics, business, or a related field.
  • A systematic and methodical approach to work.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities to engage, influence, and negotiate with a diverse range of senior stakeholders.
