Therapeutic Specialist Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Therapeutic Specialist to join our Child & Family Services team in Tamworth, NSW.

The successful candidate will provide clinical knowledge and expertise to support children and young people who are residing in Out of Home Care.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead an ITTC assessment hub.
  • Develop skills in management.
  • Provide high quality assessment and recommendations for children impacted by trauma.
  • Co-ordinate internal and external stakeholder relationships.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy or Mental Health Nursing.
  • Relevant experience and knowledge obtained in a therapeutic care setting or working in a clinical environment with Children and Young People.
  • Demonstrated knowledge, understanding and experience of the Child Protection and/or Out of Home Care Service System.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and operational issues across the Child and Family Services.
