**Job Title: Intellectual Property Attorney**

We are seeking an experienced intellectual property attorney to join our organization. As an intellectual property attorney, you will be responsible for drafting and prosecuting patent applications, preparing high-quality written and verbal IP advice, managing intellectual property portfolios, and developing and executing IP strategies tailored to client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting and prosecuting patent applications in Australia and internationally;
  • Preparing high-quality written and verbal IP advice in a timely manner;
  • Managing intellectual property portfolios for local and international clients;
  • Developing and executing IP strategies tailored to client needs;
  • Preparing and delivering IP-related articles and presentations internally and externally;
  • Participating in networking events, seminars, and business development activities.

Requirements:

  • To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following qualifications and skills:
  • A degree-qualified (or higher) in electrical or electronics engineering, computer systems engineering, mechatronics engineering, information and communications technology (ICT), physics, quantum computing, software engineering, or a related technical field;
  • 1-3 years post-registration experience as a Patent Attorney;
  • Experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the above technical fields;
  • Experience managing IP portfolios and developing IP strategies for Australian and international applicants;
  • A client-focused approach and ability to build strong professional relationships;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;
  • Exceptional technical knowledge;
  • An eye for detail, with excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Advanced Computer skills and database researching skills;
  • Highly organized and responsible with experience prioritizing and working to deadlines.
