
Advanced Clinical Leader in Elderly Patient Care

This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in geriatric healthcare. As a Geriatric Care Specialist, you will provide expert clinical consultation and direct patient care in acute settings, utilising advanced assessment skills to manage complex health conditions in elderly patients.
- Lead evidence-based practice improvements and quality initiatives by identifying opportunities for enhanced care delivery and implementing sustainable change strategies
- Mentor and support nursing staff in specialised geriatric care techniques, providing ongoing professional development and guidance to enhance clinical competency
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes
Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability in the leadership and facilitation of change management
- Effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills
- Evidence of additional studies relating to gerontology, dementia, aging, caring for older persons or equivalent
- Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience
