Job Title: Chief Compliance Officer - Financial Crime

Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Chief Compliance Officer to lead our financial crime compliance efforts. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing local regulatory requirements and conducting risk assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations;
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies;
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives;
  • Maintain relationships with external regulators and industry peers to stay up-to-date on emerging trends and best practices;

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of eight years of experience in Compliance & AML in banks/financial institutions/local regulators;
  • Strong knowledge and experience in managing local regulatory requirements;
  • Extensive experience in conducting risk assessments;
  • Experience in KYC framework definition and KYC/CRA processes, AML Transaction Monitoring and Sanctions screening within a banking environment.

Preferred Qualifications

We welcome candidates with the following qualifications:

  • University degree in law, finance, or economics;
  • English native speaker, Italian is an advantage;
  • Good knowledge of local and international Economic Sanctions laws and regulations;
  • Good knowledge of AML/CTF local and EU international, regulations and requirements;
  • Knowledge of Anti-Bribery and corruption regulations;
  • Knowledge of international Compliance regulations and international practices;
  • Deep understanding of the Australian regulatory environment and expectations;
  • Good command of Microsoft Office.
