Riot Games is seeking an experienced Staff Software Engineer to join the Sydney-based VALORANT, Foundations Engine team. As a key member of our team, you will drive technical direction for Engine systems, anticipating upcoming opportunities and risks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the technical direction for Engine systems, ensuring seamless integration with VALORANT teams
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve the Engine, enabling the creation of new and engaging player experiences
  • Develop and champion development process improvements, upholding a high standard of engineering excellence
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and growth
Requirements:
  • 6+ years of professional software development experience
  • 4+ years of professional experience in C++
  • Experience working with Unreal Engine and developing games in C++
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and/or equivalent experience
  • Proven track record of collaborating on cross-team development efforts, including requirements gathering, planning, and release
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience developing and shipping games in Unreal Engine
  • Experience modifying Unreal Engine and developing render systems
