Technical Lead - Data and Analytics Expert

We are seeking an exceptional Technical Lead to spearhead the development of a modern data and analytics platform using Azure Databricks and Power BI.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner closely with stakeholders to define comprehensive business intelligence solutions offering actionable insights to all levels of the organization.
  • Take responsibility for delivery of fit-for-purpose business intelligence solutions, working closely with project managers.
  • Establish standards and guidelines for report developers in both IT and business units.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and build impactful business intelligence solutions.
  • Lead and mentor a team of business intelligence analysts in development of best practices in business intelligence and analytics.
Requirements:
  • Experience working within a delivery and operational role in business intelligence and analytics within life insurance, general insurance or health insurance.
  • A solid understanding of Power BI, data visualization practices, and underlying data engineering and modelling.
  • Experience in reporting within life insurance domain - covering claims, policy, underwriting would be highly regarded.
  • Proven experience in independently leading the technical delivery of a team of BI engineers, both onshore and offshore, while effectively managing delivery risks and issues.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong people leadership skills or an interest in becoming a people leader.
  • The ability to mentor, coach, and develop a high-performing business intelligence team.
