Panel Beater Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a skilled Panel Beater in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality panel beating services, ensuring vehicles are returned to their pre-accident condition.

The role involves performing various tasks such as checking received parts for correctness and defects, disassembling vehicles according to job sheets, labeling and storing parts, and communicating with team members and management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Inspect and verify the accuracy of received parts
  2. Disassemble vehicles as per job requirements
  3. Organize and store parts in designated areas
  4. Communicate with estimators and other teams regarding part defects and extra repairs
  5. Check new parts for damage and communicate defects to the parts manager or production manager
  6. Colour match and repair vehicles after preparation and scheduling for painting
  7. Build and maintain colour libraries for future reference
  8. Prep, prime, and paint vehicles as per job sheet requirements following paint supplier's process
  9. Buff and denib vehicles to achieve a high-quality finish
  10. Repair vehicles according to repair methods, OEM standards, and in accordance with estimates and job sheets
  11. Reassemble vehicles while maintaining attention to detail and quality
  12. Handle all vehicles with care and attention to ensure safe handling and transportation
  13. Clean and maintain the workbay and workshop areas
  14. Provide guidance and training to apprentices when required
  15. Manage company tools and equipment with due care and attention, ensuring they remain safe, clean, and functional
  16. Adhere to our occupational health and safety policy including personal protective equipment
