**Job Title:** Receiving Clerk

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Count and verify merchandise against freight bills.
  • Stacks bed-loaded merchandise or damaged pallets onto Costco-approved pallets, separating mixed item pallets for checking.
  • Use a radio frequency computer gun to key in received goods, order pallet tags and UPC stickers, and scan products to verify UPC and item.
  • Notify the Receiving Manager of mis-marked, damaged, or mis-shipped items and re-label bad UPC product.
  • Wrap pallets of double-received goods with plastic wrap for transport to the floor or steel by Forklift Drivers, creating and attaching pallet tags.
  • Load merchandise and empty pallets onto trucks using manual pallet jacks and hand trucks, assist in unloading trucks and first receiving.
  • Clean up and clear the receiving dock of debris or trip hazards, following safety procedures.
  • Monitor all merchandise entering and exiting the building, secure building access, and follow security procedures.
  • Provide prompt and courteous member service, assisting members with loading large items into their trolleys and autos, directing them to products, and relating product status knowledge.

 

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist with front-end duties as necessary.
  • Assist in other warehouse departments as needed.
