Forecaster for Aviation Operations

As an Aerodynamic Forecaster, you will be responsible for analyzing atmospheric conditions and providing critical information to support aviation operations. Your primary goal is to maintain a suite of services and products that cater to the needs of aviation users.
This role involves preparing and issuing forecasts and warnings from designated centers. You will collaborate with other meteorologists to ensure consistency in service delivery and contribute to the development of forecast policies.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining and developing a range of products and services for aviation users.
- Preparing and disseminating weather forecasts and warnings as required.
- Liaising with customers and partners to provide briefing services and support informed decision-making.
- Contributing to the enhancement of existing products and services, such as SIGWX charts and Volcanic Ash Advisories.
To excel in this position, you should possess:
- The Basic Instruction Package for Meteorologists (BIP-M) qualification as a minimum.
- Previous experience in operational meteorological service delivery environments is desirable.
- A strong understanding of aeronautical meteorology and forecasting principles.
