Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Solution Designer to join our elite Solution Design team in Sydney. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for producing high-level solution designs for business-critical applications in consultation with technology and business stakeholders.

You will work closely with architects and business stakeholders to translate business and architecture requirements into solution design, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment, effective communication, and seamless delivery of solutions.

The successful candidate will have strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, and experience in developing Java based micro services/Restful APIs and eventing using Kafka/MQ. You will also have excellent analysis and design skills with technical problem-solving, and a deep understanding of system design and development.

Salary and Benefits

Our estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience. Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 8+ years of experience in software solution delivery
  • Experience as Solution Designer/Senior Engineer or similar role with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience in developing Java based micro services/Restful APIs and eventing using Kafka/MQ
  • Excellent analysis and design skills with technical problem-solving
  • Understanding of Design patterns including authentication & authorisation patterns
  • Extensive understanding of system design and development

A degree or equivalent in science, computer science, information technology is desirable, as well as knowledge of automation and efficiency improvement processes, CI/CD tools, and the Financial Services Industry.
