Primary Leader of English Curriculum

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced educator to fill the role of Acting Head of English at our Catholic College. The successful applicant will be responsible for leading and managing the English department, developing and implementing curriculum, and ensuring high-quality teaching and learning outcomes.
About the Role:
The Acting Head of English will provide leadership and support to teachers and students in the English department. This will involve:
- Developing and implementing curriculum that aligns with national, state, and local requirements;
- Providing guidance and support to teachers on pedagogy and classroom practice;
- Maintaining accurate records of student progress and achievement;
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless integration of curriculum across subjects;
- Participating in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with best practices in education.
Requirements:
- Registration or eligibility to register with Queensland College of Teachers;
- Professional qualifications in Education;
- Strong commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
