Civil Construction Inspector Role Overview

Effective civil construction project delivery requires a skilled Civil Construction Inspector. As a key team member, you will be responsible for conducting and documenting observations of construction as it progresses for civil projects related to infrastructure, such as roads, bridges, water facilities, pump stations, and pipelines.

  • Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses for civil projects related to infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with field representatives or Project Managers to achieve common goals.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within the documents.
  • Provide guidance and support to less-experienced staff as needed.

To succeed in this role, you must possess a strong understanding of construction principles and practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to promote effective communication and collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in construction inspection or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
