We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Construction Inspector to assume resident project oversight to observe compliance with plans and specifications for transportation and water infrastructure construction in the Cleveland/Akron area. If you have experience in technical construction projects – whether it's asphalt, concrete, sanitary and storm sewers, waterlines, water or wastewater treatment facilities – we want to hear from you
We provide services for transportation, water, architecture, and energy infrastructure projects. Our years of diverse experience allow us to guide contractors in constructive ways, expedite decisions in the field, promote project savings, and timely completion for the benefit of our clients.
What You\'ll DoAs the Construction Inspector you will assume resident project oversight to observe compliance with plans and specifications for infrastructure projects in NE Ohio. In addition, you will document construction progress according to ODOT Construction Administration Manual of Procedures, Project Plans and Specifications, and comply with all issued permits. You will be the single representative or work with a team of inspectors, depending on the size of the project.
What You\'ll Bring- ODOT Inspection Prequalification is preferred.
- Experience with State and Municipal construction and materials specifications.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Products.
- Ability to write professional daily reports, weekly reports, and monthly progress meeting agendas.
- Take photos to document work progress and connect associate them with the respective daily reports.
- Must be a good communicator. Position requires daily communications with Owner, Contractor, and ms office staff.
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technology, or Construction Engineering Technology (OR)
- National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies
