This is a part-time afternoon shift role.

We are seeking a Soil Preparation Laboratory Technician to join our team, which is dedicated to delivering quality results on time and maintaining strong relationships with clients.

The successful candidate will have the flexibility to work up to full-time hours across five days when needed, including a Saturday shift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare soil samples.
  • Follow Quality Work Instructions (QWIs) for all preparation, analytical procedures, and related tasks.
  • Organise assigned tasks to maximise daily efficiency.
  • Complete all tasks within the timeframes set by the Supervisor and in line with relevant analysis standards.
  • Operate sample preparation equipment.
  • Identify and report anomalies in results or sample behaviour to the Section Supervisor.

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous production experience.
  • Tertiary qualification desirable but not required.
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Dedication to safe laboratory practices.
  • Strong commitment to client service.
  • A positive work attitude and ability to learn new skills.
  • Experience in a high throughput environment is ideal.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Sound judgement and problem-solving approach.
