Backend Support Engineer Position Overview

This role involves maintaining the performance, reliability and quality of our core products by identifying and resolving backend issues, supporting customer service teams with technical queries and developing long-term solutions to minimize future incidents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve backend problems in production and staging environments.
  • Collaborate with customer support to diagnose and resolve user-reported bugs.
  • Continuously improve existing backend systems to enhance speed, reliability and scalability.
  • Analyze recurring issues and develop fixes to prevent repeat occurrences.
  • Monitor system health and performance indicators to proactively detect problems.
  • Document common issues, fixes and backend workflows for internal use.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in backend development or a support-focused engineering role.
  • Familiarity with some of the technologies in our stack (or similar).
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
  • DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) experience is a bonus.
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills.
  • Ability to take initiative, manage time well and work independently.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
