Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Control Room Operations Coordinator Lead to join our team at Entergy. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership and operational expertise to ensure the safe and reliable operation of our power plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide work direction and leadership to employees on the same shift, ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the plant.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety procedures and policies, promoting a safe work environment and using Human Performance tools.
  • Make real-time decisions and provide work direction in regard to the operation of equipment, at times under critical and stressful situations.
  • Operate boiler, turbine, and generator manually during emergencies, and perform startup and shutdown functions as required.
  • Provide leadership within the workgroup, mentoring and training others, and ensuring their performance of assigned tasks.
  • Ensure units are operated in compliance with all regulatory requirements, including OSHA, Environmental, NERC/CIP, etc.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of power plant experience, preferably in operations.
  • Strong knowledge of technology and use of computer.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to take and understand directives and complete tasks.
  • Leadership skills and decision-making skills.
