About Our Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as an ICU Registrar. This is a fantastic opportunity for trainees pursuing a career through the College of Intensive Care Medicine.

Deliver senior medical support to ICU HMOs and manage patients in ICU. Assist in managing acute deteriorating patients in the ward and Emergency Department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out clinical ICU activities consistent with training and experience
  • Support team leaders at emergency response calls across all areas of the hospital
  • Liaise with nursing staff to provide guidance on acute clinical management issues
  • Carry out clinical ICU activities consistent with training and experience
  • Assist with coordinating inter-hospital transfers in association with ARV and treating teams
Requirements:
  • Medical Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA)
  • MBBS or equivalent degree enabling registration with the Medical Board of Victoria
  • Satisfactory Completion of at least three postgraduate years
  • Currently registered as a CICM trainee or commitment to being selected in the CICM training program
