Lead Architect and Strategy

We are seeking a skilled Lead Architect and Strategy professional to join our team.

  • Extensive digital technology and architectural knowledge and expertise are required.
  • Leadership and coaching of a team of ICT professionals implementing agile methodologies are necessary.
  • An ability to interpret and lead the unique architecture of the Defence environment and drive ICT maturity and uplift is essential.

This role requires strong judgement and innovative problem-solving skills. You will also challenge the status quo when required and demonstrate resilience and personal accountability for quality advice and delivery of results.

The ideal candidate will be a collaborative leader, exemplifying defence values and behaviours, and fostering a culture of innovation and agility.

You will provide timely and accurate advice to senior leaders and Government on complex matters, leveraging outstanding judgement, strategic awareness, and parliamentary and media acumen.

A Merit Pool of highly suitable candidates will be established to fill current vacancies and similar vacancies that may arise over the next 18 months.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading the ICT Digital strategy, technology choices, and Enterprise Architecture spanning the entire Defence ICT landscape.
  • Implementing agile methodologies and driving ICT maturity and uplift.
  • Interpreting and leading the unique architecture of the Defence environment.
