Aged Care Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Aged Care Assistant to join our team on a permanent part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for you to further expand your skill set in a supportive & structured environment, whilst gaining job satisfaction.

The role involves providing support to our residents, working collaboratively within a team environment, and reporting incidents and changes in resident behaviour in a timely manner to Registered Nurses (RNs). You will receive hands-on training and support from our dedicated RNs and Management team.

You will have the opportunity to develop your aged care career under the guidance and mentorship of experienced nursing professionals within the aged care industry.

  • Providing direct care, support, and guidance to residents in accordance with best practice standards
  • Establishing positive relationships with our residents and working collaboratively within a team environment
  • Responding to incidents and changes in resident behaviour in a timely manner to RNs
Key Responsibilities:
  • To provide high-quality care to our residents, including direct care, support, and guidance
  • To work towards establishing positive relationships with our residents and collaborating effectively with the team
  • To report incidents and changes in resident behaviour promptly to RNs
Requirements:
  • Certificate IV Medication Competency in Aged Care
  • Minimum 1 year's experience in Aged Care
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of residents
  • A caring attitude and ability to build strong rapport with residents
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and independently
  • Professional presentation and punctuality
  • Sound computer skills and ability to use relevant software
  • Flexible availability to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
