Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly technical professional to fill the role of Database Reliability Engineer. This position will involve working with large-scale cloud-based critical systems and data plane services like Cassandra, ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, Kafka, Redis, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the data components and use that knowledge to operate and automate properly configured clusters.
  • Develop infrastructure services to support engineering teams in their pursuit of a full devops model.
  • Work closely with Engineering and Customer Support to troubleshoot time-sensitive production issues.
  • Ensure the security, availability, and integrity of petabytes of critical business data.
Requirements:
  • Configuration management (Chef)
  • Scripting in Python and bash
  • Experience with large-scale datastores using technologies like Cassandra, ElasticSearch, Kafka, Zookeeper, and MySQL.
  • Experience with large-scale Linux environments.
  • Experience operating within the cloud, preferably Amazon Web Services, GCP, and OCI.
  • Ability to work effectively with local and remote teams.
  • Track record of making great decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
