Software Maintenance Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Maintenance Professional to join our dynamic engineering team in Linux-based infrastructure and applications. This role involves resolving complex customer problems related to Ubuntu, Kernel, Ceph, OpenStack, or Kubernetes and other open source software.

  • Work closely with field, support, and product engineering teams to maintain effective communication and collaboration.
  • Participate in upstream communities to contribute to the development and improvement of open-source software.
  • Develop bug fixes, backport patches, and collaborate with upstream developers for inclusion.
  • Review code produced by other engineers to ensure high-quality standards.
  • Demonstrate excellent judgment in technical methods and techniques to drive results.
  • Prioritize work effectively and manage time wisely against set priorities.
  • Contribute to team discussions to enhance processes, tools, and documentation.
  • Maintain clear, concise, and technical communication throughout.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional academic credentials, a strong background in Computer Science or STEM fields, experience with Linux and open-source software, and expertise in at least one programming language (Python, Go, C, or C++) on Linux.
