Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining a modern data platform in Azure, with a focus on near real-time streaming and high accuracy.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in backend or data engineering, with a proven track record of shipping reliable and scalable solutions. Strong expertise in Python (including Pandas) and advanced SQL is required.

A bias towards shipping and learning, with the ability to balance speed with a high-quality bar, is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architect and build a modern data platform in Azure.
  • Design, develop and optimise resilient data pipelines using tools like Databricks and dbt.
  • Develop and manage data models and ETL/ELT workflows to ensure data is accessible, accurate, and reliable.
  • Refactor and improve existing data services, addressing critical performance and scalability challenges to support analytics and AI capabilities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 7+ years of backend or data engineering experience.
  • Strong expertise in Python and advanced SQL.
  • Proven experience architecting and building data platforms in a cloud environment.
  • A bias towards shipping and learning.
