Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HSE professional to join our team as an Advisor. This is a part-time opportunity for someone who is passionate about promoting a culture of safety in the workplace.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and guidance on all aspects of health, safety and environment (HSE) matters
  • Assist with incident management and risk mitigation to ensure a safe working environment
  • Supervise construction activities and provide support to minimize risks and ensure compliance with relevant legislation
  • Conduct inductions and training for new employees on HSE procedures and policies
  • Coordinate and contribute to regular pre-start meetings to discuss safety protocols and best practices
  • Collate materials for toolbox talks and other HSE-related meetings
  • Schedule intermittent audits to ensure compliance with ISO accreditations
  • Liaise with project managers to discuss ways to implement effective work, health and safety systems

Requirements:

  • 1+ years experience in a similar HSE advisory role
  • Tertiary qualifications in occupational health and safety or a related field would be advantageous
  • Previous experience in the civil construction industry would be highly regarded
  • Proven track record in risk management services and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of HSE practices and current legislation, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
