Job Role

The Classroom Teacher position involves delivering educational programs to achieve specific student outcomes. This role requires critical reflection and inquiry to improve knowledge and skills, ensuring effective engagement with students and enhanced learning.

With experience, the Classroom Teacher's contribution to the school program beyond the classroom increases. Additional duties may be assigned based on qualifications, training, and experience.

Responsibilities
  • Teaching groups of students and individuals;
  • Contributing to curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation;
  • Undertaking related teaching and organizational tasks as determined by the School Principal;
  • Participating in activities such as parent/teacher meetings; staff gatherings; camps and excursions;
  • Supervising non-teaching duties.

This role encompasses the responsibilities listed above and other relevant tasks.

Requirements
  • Registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualification to teach in specified curriculum areas.

Successful applicants will undergo a satisfactory pre-employment conditions check and may be subject to a probationary period during the first year of employment, along with induction and support programs.
