Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join our team at our Kalgoorlie Pump Service Centre. You will be responsible for installation, commissioning, adjustments and inspections of Slurry Pumps, Valves and Hydrocyclones in Goldfields Region & greater WA mining region.

This can include on-site mechanical repairs and inspections, ensuring our operations and workshop repairs can continue efficiently with our increase in work.

You will report to the Service Manager, Pumps.

The position is located in Kalgoorlie and would suit a local resident. Domestic (only) relocation assistance may be provided for the right person.


Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience with maintenance and/or rebuild/assembly of slurry pumps.
  • Mechanical trade qualification with at least 2 years' experience - recognised in Australia.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, drawings, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organisation.
  • Hold a current motor vehicle license and be able to pass random medical and drug tests.
  • Physically fit.
  • Ability to travel with short notice.
  • Ability to work away from home, for extended periods and extended hours, on weekends or as required.
  • Rigging and dogging qualifications.
