Goldfields Machining is a locally owned and operated Machining workshop based in Kalgoorlie Boulder since 2008. We pride ourselves on high quality products and repairs for the mining industry.

Our company specialises in the manufacture, repair and overhaul of drill rig components using the latest technology and highly skilled employees.

The Boulder workshop is equipped with CNC and Manual Machining equipment, computerised and manual lathes, milling equipment and honing machines to be able to complete any manufacture and repair job sent our way.

We are currently looking for a motivated person to join our team as a Welder in our Boulder workshop, working Monday to Friday 7am until 4:30pm, with extra hours available.

The successful Candidate will need to be able to weld using Mig, Tig and ID welders. You will be responsible for the welding requirements of our workshop. Training will be provided.

Duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to

  • Operating ID & Mig Welders

  • Crack testing and repairs

  • Welding manufactured components together

  • Performing repairs on feeds cradles, DPU's and other mining components

  • Ability to use measuring tools to achieve required tolerances

  • Be able to read and work in imperial and metric

To be Successful you will need the below requirements

  • ID Welding experience preferred

  • MIG Welding experience preferred but not essential

  • Forklift Ticket (Desirable but not required)

  • Be a team player

  • Reliable and positive can do attitude

  • High Attention to detail

  • Ability to multi-task
