About the Role

As a Workplace Safety Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting inspections and investigations to ensure compliance with work health and safety laws and regulations. You will work closely with employers, workers, and other stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks, and provide guidance and support to help them improve their workplace safety practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections and investigations to identify and address workplace safety hazards and risks
  • Provide guidance and support to employers and workers to improve their workplace safety practices
  • Work with stakeholders to develop and implement effective workplace safety strategies
  • Collaborate with other regulatory agencies and industry stakeholders to share best practices and improve workplace safety outcomes
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including employers, workers, and industry associations

Requirements

  • Diploma of Government (Workplace Inspection) or equivalent qualification
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High level of analytical and problem-solving skills
