Job Description:
Sulzer is seeking a skilled professional to support the development of regional strategy plans, sales plans, and continuous improvement projects. As a key member of our Services team, you will be responsible for acting as the main point of contact and technical consultant to the sales team and end-users.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the business with the development of overall regional strategy plans and sales plans.
- Acting as the main point of contact and technical consultant to the sales team or end-users for all retrofit enquiries and related activities.
- Developing account/region plans for delivering growth of retrofit opportunities in allocated sales territories.
- Driving local Regional Sales teams to work in-line with strategic plans to identify opportunities and drive through to order award.
- Supporting input to the Rolling Forecast process for nominated sales territories in collaboration with regional sales and service managers/directors.
- Achieving and/or exceeding local and regional OI for retrofit projects set during budgeting.
- Responsible for driving initiatives within nominated sales territories to promote the identification of retrofit opportunities through performing tasks such as technical forums, health checks, asset reviews, customer visits, internal training sessions, etc.
- Ensuring effective client contact, relationship building, and management processes are in place to positively influence clients and create a predisposition to view Sulzer as the preferred source of supply.
- Completing competitor review on retrofit strength on a yearly basis to support sales identification and drive to sales strategies.
- Maintaining knowledge of market and industry trends, competitors, technologies, and leading customer strategies, especially in relation to the retrofit and re-rate business.
- Producing and reviewing proposals and supporting the overall proposal process.
- Ensuring that handover meetings and documentation are effective and result in a smooth transition from pre to post-order status.
- Attending sales meetings and ensuring that all relevant information from assigned areas is available for the sales team.
- Actively promoting retrofits through social media and other peer platforms – internally and externally.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 7+ years' work experience in a similar role.
- Expertise in Sales/Tendering/Applications/Mechanical or Hydraulic Engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Project Management (highly desirable).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, supervisory experience, negotiation, and influence, SAP, PC computer proficiency in windows, and Microsoft office programs.
- Ability to motivate subordinates, time management, industry, and supplier network understanding, knowledge, and understanding of cultures within the region.
