Job Summary

We are seeking a Full Time Nightshift Road Maintenance Worker to join our team in permanent roles based out of our Clayton depot.

As a critical member of our crew, you will be responsible for delivering services under the Metropolitan Victorian Road Maintenance Contract (VRMC) - South Central Region. You will perform rapid response to incidents and emergencies across the network, carry out scheduled routine servicing and hazard and defect rectification works for pavements, bridges, and other structural assets, and all roadside assets.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing rapid response to incidents and emergencies across the network.
  • Carrying out scheduled routine servicing and hazard and defect rectification works for pavements, bridges, and other structural assets, and all roadside assets.
  • Completing all works with a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Recording works-related data in the field, in line with work instructions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Our ideal candidates will have experience working as part of a crew maintaining pavements, bridges, and other structural assets, and/or roadside assets. A track record of working with a relentless focus on worker, road user, and community safety is essential. High levels of self-motivation, exceptional time-management skills, and a proven ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision are also required.

Familiarity with field applications for works management and formal qualifications (Cert III or higher) in civil construction are a bonus, but not essential if you can demonstrate equivalent knowledge and capability.
