Job Role:

This is a critical operational position in maintaining, operating and monitoring wastewater infrastructure in accordance with established procedures and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining water and sewer infrastructure as required
  • Operating various plant and mechanical operations
  • Providing support for operational administration tasks
  • Ensuring effective communication and commitment to meeting operational and occupational health and safety standards

About You:

  • Minimum Year 11 education or equivalent trade qualification
  • Certificate 3 Water Industry Operations - Wastewater Treatment (or willingness to complete)
  • Physically capable of performing tasks associated with the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment plants
  • Able to carry out necessary basic mathematical calculations and interpret results
  • Basic understanding of hydraulics and mechanical plant
  • Ability to become proficient in laboratory procedures and practices
  • Experience working within an on-call/duty roster environment
  • Strong focus on occupational health and safety, commitment and application
  • Committed to contributing positively to your team and organization
  • Ability to work effectively with computer-based technology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational, self-management and problem-solving skills
  • Adaptable, hands-on and enjoy working outdoors in all elements
