Job Description

We're seeking an experienced Cyber Security Assurance Leader to join our team. As a key member of our Security Governance team, you'll play a critical role in uplifting our Cyber Security Risk & Control maturity.

This is a high-profile role that will report directly to the Head of Security Governance. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the business, technology, and external vendors to ensure seamless delivery of projects and initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading Cyber Security resources to partner with other areas of Technology to ensure the safety of our on-prem and cloud environment solutions
  • Driving uplift in security risk-related practices and metrics
  • Collaborating with technical teams to implement security controls and monitor their effectiveness
  • Providing technical leadership, guidance, and expertise to the team of cloud security specialists, automation engineers, and technical assurance resources

You'll also be responsible for:

  • Board, ELT, and Governance forum reporting and stakeholder management
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with technology leaders to build trust and understanding of security requirements
  • Identifying potential security risks and threats proactively

We're looking for someone with:

  • 7-10+ years of experience executing Technical Assurance and Compliance Automation programs
  • Practical understanding and working knowledge of Cyber Security assurance frameworks
  • Extensive experience developing/establishing; as well as operating risk and security controls compliance programs for large and complex technology-enabled organisations
  • Experience leading team members' delivery, mentoring/management of team members
  • Ability to think deeply and critically about the efficacy of information presented to stakeholders
  • Relevant tertiary qualification and/or business experience with Technology/Cyber Security
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and people skills
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of AU$160,000 - AU$200,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits and career opportunities.
