About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Technical Director to lead our Substation Design and Delivery team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality substation design and delivery projects, while also providing technical expertise and leadership to our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Delivery: Accountable for the overall success of all aspects of projects assigned, including contract negotiation, project management, risk management, and project financial performance.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical expertise and oversight of all technical aspects of projects, ensuring compliance with Aurecon's methodology and industry standards.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of junior staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and development opportunities to ensure their growth and success.
  • Business Development: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, identifying new business opportunities and leading the pursuit of major and complex design projects.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering.
  • Experience: 15 years of technical director experience or 8+ years of electrical engineering professional/technical experience within the transmission and distribution sector.
  • Skills: High-level engineering consulting and client management skills, excellent communication and commercial skills, with a strong client focus and proven track record in business development.
