About Us

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Technician to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and minimal downtime of fixed plant machinery and equipment in a heavy industrial environment.

  • Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on machinery and equipment.
  • Conduct installations and upgrades to ensure machinery operates at maximum efficiency.
  • Maintain and repair mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems as required.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues with a focus on minimising downtime.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and operational procedures.
  • Assist in planning and implementing mechanical maintenance activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance.
About You

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a fitter, ideally within manufacturing or heavy industry environments.
  • A Forklift Ticket.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to safety and quality standards.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of industrial machinery and mechanical systems.
