About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Principal Test Engineer to join our team at Suncorp. As a key member of our Test Engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing automated testing frameworks aligned with industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute testing strategies, process improvements, and standards for your deliverables.
  • Provide thought leadership in QA practices and continuously drive improvements in the QA domain.
  • Ensure the relevant types and levels of testing (e.g., functional, system, integration, regression, performance, etc.) are executed and planned into the delivery lifecycle.
  • Design, develop, and implement frameworks that build quality, automation, and security into Continuous Delivery and Continuous Integration pipelines.
  • Work with the team to deliver both automated and manual tests to meet delivery milestones.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10+ years appropriate industry experience in a Principal/Lead Test Engineer role.
  • Experience in API automation.
  • Bring industry best practices to the Test chapter and help uplift junior resources.
  • Experience in either Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, Aplitool.
  • Good knowledge in adopting or implementing test automation frameworks.
  • Proven experience in leading, advising, and mentoring junior Software Test Engineers.
