Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced data modelling expert to join our team as a key resource in a strategic program of work.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the uplift of our data assets and critical in implementing a Single Student View to support decision makers.

This might include designing and documenting source-to-target mappings, ensuring new development conforms to the agreed data model design, and assisting in enabling self-service.

The role also includes implementing and maintaining best practice metadata management and processes, translating business requirements into technical solutions, and collaborating and communicating effectively with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create logical and physical data models using best practices to ensure high data quality and reduced redundancy.
  • Develop standard naming conventions and coding practices to ensure consistency of data models.
  • Work closely with the project team to meet delivery expectations and provide enterprise-level views.
  • Translate business needs into data models supporting long-term solutions.
  • Contribute to existing standards and improve where applicable.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Strong modelling knowledge across multiple methodologies (3NF, dimensional)
  • Experience with data warehouse design and understanding of different layers in a data platform.
  • Familiarity with data governance activities and ability to contribute to standards and processes from modelling perspective.

IT, US based SEI shared services data engineering, Domestic Sales & International, Student Records & Systems team, Finance, Regulatory - Records Compliance, Governance & Risk team.
