Lead Mine Geology Position

As a senior leader in geology, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient implementation of mine geological functions.
Key responsibilities include supervising an underground geology team to ensure compliance with industry best practices and providing timely support to boost mine production.
You will also be responsible for monitoring development and stope grade performance, incorporating diamond drilling information into underground Grade Control Block Models, and maintaining accurate drill core logging data.
Furthermore, you will assist in quality assurance and control processes, provide input into the generation and ranking of near mine extensional and exploration targets, and demonstrate proactive project management skills.
The ideal candidate will possess sound technical skills in geological and mining techniques, extensive knowledge of drill core processing systems and techniques, and thorough understanding of data QA/QC processes.
They should also be proficient in geological and structural logging and mapping, experience in geological and 3D grade interpretation/modelling, and familiar with grade estimation techniques and block model creation.
A strong analytical and communication skillset is essential, as well as competence in mine production management, grade control, and diamond drilling processes.
